Part 1

Murder
	Location: HISHIDA Hall Waiting Room Victim: Kenichiro Inokoshi Age: 48 years old Time: 2:50PM Cause of death: Stab wound in chest Suspects: Mokichi Reizei and Hideki Tsukinogi Inokoshi's body was discovered sitting in a chair and leaned up against the door in the waiting room with a knife sticking out of his chest.

Murder
	Location: Outside HISHIDA Hall Victim: Junko Hishida Age: 50 years old Time: Around 2:55PM Cause of death: Fell from emergency stairs Culprit: Mokichi Reizei She was found laying on the ground outside in a pool of blood with an odd mark on her neck.

At the end of the episode, Mokichi Reizei admits that he killed someone but it's not Kenichiro Inokoshi.

Part 2

The culprit for the first murder is Hideki Tsukinogi and in the second one, Mokichi Reizei is the culprit. Tsukinogi's motive is that Inokoshi ruined his company, and Reizei motive is that Hishida claimed the hall only because her father was the previous owner.

Attempted Murder
	Location: HISHIDA Hall stage Victim: Eri Kisaki Age: 38 years old Offense weapons: Knife Culprit: Mei Tsukuba Mei plans to kill Eri for having withdrew from the trial of her brother.

The culprit behind the mysterious messages is Mei Tsukuba who was targeting Eri Kisaki for the past murder Hiroto Ashida had seemingly committed.

In truth, Hiroto Ashida had indeed committed the murder as Eri had figured out the truth about his motive and been sworn to secrecy by him. However after some urging by Conan as Kogoro, Eri reveals the shocking motive which was Mei Tsukaba herself. Back when Hiroto was still in the university, his would be victim a crooked professor had stolen his report that he had painstakingly written to pass off as his own.

When Hiroto had tried to argue against this, the crooked professor revealed the shocking truth about his little sister Mei’s enrollment into the university. As it turns out the crooked professor had accepted a bribe from their own mother to enroll her daughter Mei into the university. Unfortunately their mother would pass away soon after from an illness taking the truth to her grave. But as it turns out the only reason why their mother had bribed them was due to the crooked professor urging her to do so in the first place.

He further revealed that he had blackmailed their mother for hush money since it would be her word against his. The crooked professor then decided to blackmail Hiroto for more money to keep quiet about all of this, as a result he decided to kill him. After telling all this to his lawyer Eri Kisaki, he promised to her to swear not to tell his little sister as she would not only be devastated but would have blamed herself for all the pain her family had gone through and most likely would have taken her own life.

When Mei learns all this it shocks her to her very core, as she had misunderstood she had targeted Eri for no reason as she been protecting her all this time. It is then that Mei tries to kill herself, but luckily Kogoro regains consciousness and stops her, although she continues to struggle. Takagi then comes in saying that her brother wants to apologize to her and her brother will be getting a retrial and Mei hearing this drops the knife and surrenders peacefully.

	Location: HISHIDA Hall stage Victim: Mei Tsukuba Age: 22 years old Offense weapons: Knife After the truth is revealed, Mei tries to commit suicide but is stopped by Kogoro.

Aftermath

At the end, Ashida's retrial was rescheduled and this time, with Eri back again as his lawyer. Kogoro then complains about not remembering anything about the case and adds that beer still tastes good. Conan jokes that Kogoro shouldn't compare detective work to beer.

• The restaurant from The Framed Great Detective reappears.
• The wine Ujimori serves to Kogoro is a Sassicaia red, the same type of wine as in Miss Lonely and the Detective Boys.

• There is a layering error in Part 1 of the case.
