The publication differs from the regular Japanese version, in that chapter 232 was split in two parts, as it originally had 24 pages. 9 pages were allocated to a new chapter 233, and the series thus concludes with 256 chapters instead of 255.

The Italian version of the Yaiba manga was published by Star Comics. Publication started with Volume 1 on February 20, 2007. It was interrupted in July of the same year to make place for the release of Magic Kaito, another series by Gosho Aoyama, which started in September and ended in December with Volume 4. Publication resumed at a bimonthly rate started in March 2008 and ending with Volume 24 February 2011.
