Trivia

• This is the second case about horses after The Tragedy at the OK Corral.
• The case is inspired by The Adventure of Silver Blaze, one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories cited during the investigation. It centered around the disappearance of a race horse the night before an important race, along with the murder of his trainer.
• The second mysterious man shows a resemblance with Kanenori Wakita, being middle-aged and having the same eyepatch.
• The taxi from SIM Taxi the three mysterious people take is a 1990 Toyota Crown Sedan. The license plate number is not visible.
