Trivia
- At the end of part two, Conan is reading an issue of Shonen Sunday (the magazine Detective Conan is serialized in) featuring Inuyasha on the front page.
- The plot to this case is later adapted for a fictional movie starring Yoko Okino in the manga files 984-986 and the anime episode 901-902.
- In this case, a certain group of lawyers refer to Eri Kisaki as Queen, which in The Fourteenth Target, she was the queen target, I do not know where her 12 number character came in, however in the English Dub, her name does mean queen is various languages. As far as Japanese -English online translator her name means Princess English Li, unless I am misunderstanding the Kanji symbols.
- As of this case, Eri is the Female Lawyer who has never lost a case.
- According to one of Eri's cases, she has a scrapbook of every last article concerning Kogoro's cases.
- According to Ran, Kogoro is secretly reading all of the articles about Eri's cases overnight.
- The original airdate for part one of this case is July 17, and July 24 for Part 2, and Eri stated that their anniversary in Part 1 was tomorrow, so their anniversary might be in July and either the 18th or 25th?
- In Japan, "Criminal Law, Article 199, if one committed a murder, he will have a life sentence with a minimum of three years of solitary confinement with no chance of parole. In the worst case, execution."
- This is Misao Yamamura's first case, since his debut in The Cornered Famous Detective! Two Big Murder Cases, and may already have been promoted to Inspector of the Gunma Prefecture.
- Misao Yamamura was excited to meet "Sleeping Kogoro, although highly disturbed about how he is going to do the deduction show, considering that he is the (suspect)/Culprit of this murder.
- This is the first case that Conan and Misao Yamamura encountered each other, since Conan was in Gunma with Yukiko, who introduced him as her second son, who she had when she was in America.
- When Conan asked Yamamura is he stationed at Karuizawa Nagano Province, he answered "Yes, but this place is close to Gunma, so we're in charge of the policing."
- Karuizawa Nagano Province is located inside of the Gunma Prefecture, despite the word 'Nagano' in the name.
- This is the case that Eri beat Conan to the punch by noticing a thread, and a broken piece of the chain-lock, and handing them to the CSI before Conan can draw the Inspector's attention to it.
- This is the first case that a master key used to open a hotel door happens to be a card key, and not an actual "key" key.
This picture is a picture of how hotel keys have changed. https://imgbox.com/IW7hF96W
- Eri asked the hotel room to lend her and Conan an empty room for the Deduction show with the culprit.
- In the Opal Coffee, the painting with Takei villa is from The False Kidnapping and Hostage Case, and the one with a castle reappers in Tachibana villa from The Bay of Revenge. Open spoiler box to see images.
