Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are eating at a restaurant. At the same moment, in the restaurant's private room, a company is having dissolution party. But after giving a speech, the company president, Jiro Kureno falls dead onto the floor.

After the interrogatory, Eiji Koshimoto, merchandise manager and former college of the president went to the toilet, but he did not come back. Later, a waitress finds Koshimoto strangled with a suicide note in his body.
