Case

Situation

Kogoro Mouri is in the hospital after injuring his ankle. While there, he witnesses a shadow of a murder. He notifies the nurses immediately, only to find out that the room in which the murder took place is empty. This happens on 3 nights in a row, before an actual murder has taken place on the 4th night. For worse, Kogoro is found passed out next to the corpse and mistaken as the killer, and now Conan will have to clear his name...

Conan figures out that light was being reflected to the room's window from a different room the first three times, using a CPR dummy to look like a murder, while the fourth and real murder occurred in the room Kogoro presumed. The first three times were to make it look like Kogoro was imagining things, and thus appear to losing his mind and be an easy target for pining the murder on. The culprit who murdered Eto is Mitsuo Shirai. He was always mocked by his rival and wanted to receive the promotion both doctors were vying for.
