Kumiko Habara (羽原 久美子 ,Habara Kumiko) is a Japanese technical director and storyboard artist. She takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography

Kumiko Habara's real name is actually Kumiko Ito (羽原 久美子 ,Itō Kumiko), when marrying to animator Nobuyoshi Habara (羽原 信義), she changed her surname to "Habara". After working among the industry for nine years, she retired to become a full-time housewife, whereupon she was then being re-invited by acquaintances back in the industry. In recent years, she mainly has her job fixed at animation studio Maho Film.

Habara joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2001, starting with Episode 234: The Evidence That Didn't Disappear (Part 2); at that time, she only did key animation for the anime. Then, during the Masato Sato directional era, Habara returned to the production team and served as storyboardist in many episodes. In 2006, after producing the adaptation of manga case Episode 427~428: Super Secret of the Road to School, she quit the production team and has not returned yet.
