Biography

Tomoko Fukunaga was originally affiliated with Studio Mu (スタジオ・ムー). She joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2004, starting with Episode 359: Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story 5 (Part 2). She did in-between animation back then, and only got promoted to do key animation starting with Episode 405: The Man Who Called for an Ambulance. This continued until 2009, afterwards she temporarily quit the production of the Detective Conan anime. She then returned to the production team in 2013, which she served as animation director the following year. After finishing the animation correction work for the Shinichi BOY arc of Episode 854: Memories from Sakura Class (Shinichi BOY), she quit the anime production team.

Although she is not working on the anime currently, she still works for the movies and acts as assistant animation director occasionally.
