Koji Yusa (遊佐 浩二 Yusa Kōji?), born August 12, 1968 in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, is a Japanese voice actor.

In Detective Conan, he is the voice of Koji Yusa.

Biography

As a child, Yusa grew up near the Kyoto Racecourse in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto. When he started junior high school, he received a boombox, which sparked his interest in radio dramas and inspired his dream of becoming a voice actor.

In college, Yusa majored in Japanese language studies. After graduating, he trained at Katsuta Voice Actor Academy and began his voice acting career in 1993 at 25 years old. His first anime role was in The Brave of Gold Goldran. He initially worked with Office Kaoru but later became an independent voice actor.

Yusa’s work mainly involves voicing characters in anime, drama CDs, and foreign films, as well as narrating for TV programs. Over time, he has also taken on more event appearances and radio work, which have made him more familiar to fans.

In recognition of his talent, he received the Synergy Award for Kamen Rider Den-O at the 2nd Seiyu Awards.

Yusa married fellow voice actress Kanako Mitsuhashi in 2007. However, in 2012, he announced on his radio show that they had divorced.
