Yoshiharu Shimizu (清水 義治 ,Shimizu Yoshiharu) is a Japanese animation director and key animator. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime and movies. He is sometimes mistakenly credited as Yoshihiro Shimizu (清水 義浩 ,Shimizu Yoshihiro).

Biography

Starting with Episode 69: Night Baron Murder Case (The Suspicion) in 1997, Yoshiharu Shimizu began working for the Detective Conan anime; thereafter, he had always been involved in the key animation work in some early episodes of the series. However, in 2001, after working on Episode 239: The 3 "K"s of Osaka Case (Part 2), Shimizu quit the anime production team. Yet only in 2014 and 2023 did he return, in which he participated in the production of episodes 742 and 1079 respectively.

Furthermore, Shimizu served as animation director in Episode 85: Ski Lodge Murder Case (Part 2).

On the other hand, Shimizu has made a considerable contribution towards the Detective Conan movies: he took part in all the movies' productions. Excluding the character designer Masatomo Sudo, he is the only staff member who has achieved so, by far.
