Part 1

Conan and the Detective Boys are playing soccer when they meet the calico cat, Taii, who frequently comes to Café Poirot for food. They follow the cat into a refrigerated delivery truck where the kids stumble on to a body in a box. The drivers killed the man and are doing their route to establish an alibi as the cold will alter the time of death.

Part 2

Although the Detective Boys have not been discovered by the delivery men, the cold begins to affect them, as Mitsuhiko even collapses from giving his sweater to Haibara. Conan uses a receipt to write a message and releases Taii from the truck with it stuck in its collar, hoping that Bourbon will find it and realize what is going on.

The note that Conan put on Taii (knowing it will return to Azusa where Amuro (Bourbon) will understand the meaning and rescue them) blows away when Azusa tries to show it to Amuro, but Amuro calculates the wind direction and other factors, thus retrieving the note and reading the message. As they reach Professor Agasa's house, Conan alters the parcel to say Shinichi Kudo's residence, where Subaru is staying. The altered parcel covertly tells Subaru the situation so he comes down. Bourbon later arrives and saves the kids from the delivery men, and Subaru hides in the shadows observing him.

Trivia

The Cheetah Delivery company, featured in this episode reappears in "UFO Sighting Murder Case" (Vol 89), the Anime original episode "Munch's Missing Scream", the Anime original episode "After That Hundred Million Yen", in the special "The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa: The Worst Two Days in History", and the movie Sunflowers of Inferno.
