In celebration of Detective Conan's 30th year of manga serialization, a completely new anime adaptation of the Yaiba manga named Shin Samurai-den Yaiba (真・侍伝 YAIBA True Samurai Legend Yaiba ) was announced. The script will be under supervision of Gosho Aoyama. It is animated by WIT Studio and will begin airing on April 5, 2025, every Saturday at 5:30 pm JST, right before Detective Conan. This was also the timeslot for Magic Kaito 1412.

On October 19, 2024, Viz Media announced that they had gotten the license for the anime under the name Yaiba: Samurai Legend, stylized as YAIBA: Samurai Legend.[1]
