Curse of the Nue
Characters introduced
File 960 - The Nue's Scars
Heiji and Conan tell the others about Someji's murder in the woods, near the pond, and ask them to call the police. They all go back to their rooms waiting for them, and the two detectives wonder if the monster they saw really exists. As they learn more interesting things about Charles Abel and what happened some years ago, they hear the Nue's cry once again and another blaze is set, as if by magic, in front of their eyes. As everyone open their windows to see what's going on, Tanzawa suddenly yells in pain, collapsing in his room. Conan and Heiji rush to his room and thrust it open, finding Tanzawa died of mysterious poisoning, probably from the Nue's venomous snake-like tail.
File 961 - The Revealed Fangs of the Nue
The police turn up and actually Yokomizo, and not Yamamura, was called to intervene, as the place is closer to Shizuoka than Gunma. Though, Heiji and Conan are disappointed to note he's just as superstitious and stupid as Yamamura at the end of the day. They expound him on the events and the police try hard to investigate "real" murders, while everything just shows they've been committed by a non-human being. Looking at Charles Abel's former dog, and finding some very relevant clues here and there, Conan and Heiji deduce who the killer really is.

Heist Info
File 963 - Tree God
Ms. Tomoyose Kimika, a widow, asks Jirokichi Suzuki's help to open a trick box named 'Tree God' made by the artificier Samizu Kichiemon. Ms. Tomoyose's husband died a few days ago, but never told how to open it to her and kept the paper containing the method in one of the books in the library. The box contains the world's biggest moonstsone, 'Luna Memoria'. Kaito Kid is said to be after it. Jirokichi makes an announcement to exhibit the box. Okiya says he will not be coming as he is uninterested. Someone takes pictures of Okiya and Agasa as he heads out for the exhibition. Kid is seen taking picture of Jirokichi, while disguised among the security as one of them. Kogoro tries to break open the box, but instead gets hurt by a popped needle. Agasa shows his bandaged fingers as well.
Okiya visits the exhibition, saying he was allowed to enter just by mentioning that Agasa is his friend. Jirokichi demonstrates how the box can't be stolen due to the weight sensors, which releases a cage that traps the thief. Ms. Tomoyose says that upon opening the box, a nursery rhyme melody is heard. She also remarks about her husband being shy to tell her the box's contents. Jirokichi says that Kid sent a mail, accepting the challenge to steal the jewel. Okiya remarks about finding the paper hidden in a book. Jirokichi leads them to a studio containing about 10000 volumes.
File 964 - Approach
Jirokichi had his staff check all the volumes to find the paper, but were unsuccessful. Ms.Tomoyose tells that her husband used to say, 'It seems you haven't found the box yet. If you find it, you should be able to find the box's true contents too'. They decide to search through the books which Ms. Tomoyose never reads. Before doing so, Kogoro, Conan and Agasa head to the restroom. Jirokichi puts up a board announcing an award of 1 million yen for anyone able to open the box. When Kogoro handles the box, it gets wet. Ms. Tomoyose gets paranoid and hurriedly wipes it off. She mentions about her passion for cooking, and how she read through all the cooking books her husband brought. She even mentions that her specialty is the stew, which was her husband's favourite and was learned from his mother.
Conan feels the presence of Kid around him, and starts suspecting everyone. Ms. Tomoyose also mentions how they did a diary exchange during their student days. She remarks how she wrote pages of text while he wrote just few lines, only to later realise, that he did write long text which she never came across in the diary back then. Conan pieces together the info of her husband being shy, his mother teaching her the stew, her paronia about water leaking in the box and the mystery of the text in the diary. Meanwhile, Kid watches Conan with a smile.

Characters introduced
File 966 - Scytale Cipher
A new teacher is introduced in the detective boy's class. She seems nice, but is rather clumsy. During break she approach the detective boys and ask them to help her finds limestones in an abandon building. But instead they finds the remains of a skeleton and a headband with strange characters. The police concludes that it's a thief who had an accident around ten years ago, but the headmaster tells of a robbery nearby the school, where the owner was killed and a lot of gold was stolen.
File 967 - Impossible to Decode!?
Conan explains the code is actually ciphered as a "scytale" : when writing a code horizontally on a strip of paper wound around a cylindric object, and then unwinding it, that makes the code unreadable to others. Conan tries it however in any direction but fails to decipher the code. Hopefully, thanks to Haibara's hint at the class's time schedule, Conan finds out the truth, as Rumi Wakasa strangely and quietly observes him.

Fitting Room Murder Case
File 969 - Swimsuits at the Dressing Room ♡
Ran, Sonoko and Sera are out buying swim suits. Sera picks one that triggers fracture memories in Conan. A man saying 'It's scary. Like being possessed by something'. A woman saying 'Possessed by a shirigami'. A man asking 'Who are you?'. And a girl with snaggletooth saying 'A wizard'.
Conan comes across an argument. A coustomer, Nitsuka Tomoyo, demands to meet the women responsible for her blackout the other day, which was caused by allergy to dog hair. That women, Sashihara Ritsuko, had dog hair on her clothes that were spread in the dressing room that day. When Sashihara mocks Nitsuka about her allergy, Yamaki Ayami, her client, comments about her behaviour. Sashihara brings home the fact that she helped repay all of Yamaki's debt and hence should mind her tounge. When the shop assistant, Nanbu Reia butts in to mend things, Sashihara threatens to talk to her manager and fire her.
While leaving the store, Conan and co. hear a scream and rush to find Sashihara strangled to death in a dressing room. Her left index finger points towards her right, and her right fist is clenched with the thumb nail having traces of wiped lipstick.
File 970 - The Message Left by the Fingers
Takagi explains that the victim was strangled from behind, with a rope around her neck. Nanbu found the body first, when she decided to check why the dressing room was occupied for so long by Shashihara. Yamaki was on the left dressing room and Nitsuka was on the right. Nitsuka mentions that someone had left white sandals in-front of her dressing room, before she entered.
Nanbu Reia informs the police that first Yamaki went to the dressing room. By that time, the white sandals were already in place. Shashihara then occupied the middle room. And Nitsuka was the last one. Conan remarks how Shashihara couldn't recognise Nanbu after having met once in the past. Nanbu shows her pair of white sneakers. Yamaki shows the wrapped gift of perfume from her purse, that was meant for the store's manager. Nitsuka says she didn't want to go in other two rooms, out of fear of dog hair, and thus had to wait for the room on the right. Nitsuka shows the portable folding slippers she carries. Each suspect is asked to draw the white sandals seen, and all their drawings turn out to be similar. Takagi informs about finding scissors, left-over tape and straw cut to pieces in the garbage can near the dressing room. On Sonoko's remark about the culprit possibly using a face-mask and how dressing rooms have such face-mask boxes inside, Conan and Masumi realize the truth of the case.
