Chika wanted to make it looked like Yuuichi and Kouko planned to kill her by injecting poison into two chocolate bars and then hid the syringe inside Yuuichi's room. Yuuichi's death was because of the poisoned sleeping pills that Kouko Shimura intended for Chika, while Kouko died from the poison that Yuuichi Kaidou smeared on the glass of water. While Yuuichi was setting up the poison, Toda's call made him surprised and dropped the chocolate bars, causing the position of them to change. Unaware of this, Chika accidentally picked up a poisoned bar and ate it, resulting in her death.
