Resolution
The killer is
Keizo Masuo. Knowing his wife's daily routine, he set a knife hidden in a bookshelf and tied it to his wife's exercise bike. The string was wound around the pedal and would eventually pull the knife from the shelf, stabbing Kayo in the process. Once they arrived at the scene of the crime, Keizo instructed Takagi and Sato to check upstairs while he went to the living room where Kayo's body is to eliminate the evidence. To establish an alibi, Keizo called his wife from the police station and had her talk to Takagi. The evidence is the blood on his finger. He used pin to easily release the string so the pedal will roll it. However, while putting the pin, he pricked his finger and the bloodstain is still on the top of the bookshelf. If the blood on his finger and the bloodstain on the shelf matched, then he is really the murderer. Keizo admitted his crime.
The bank robbery was actually set up by Keizo, who was forced to set it up due to his wife's lavish lifestyle. The bank robbery would have gone smoothly had it not for Kayo being there during the robbery. While being taken hostage, Kayo recognized one of the robbers, not knowning that her husband was the inside man. Which was why the robbers switched hostage.

Keizo eventually killed her out of fear that she would reveal the identity of the robber, who would in turn reveal Keizo as the mastermind behind it. She had prepare some photos to show the police to identify the robber. Two hours later, the two accomplices, who were quietly counting their money, were arrested and both cases were solved at once.
