Case

Situation

Conan, Agasa, and the Detective Boys are on the way home, when Ayumi notice a crowd surrounding a building. There is a light flashing repeatedly from the building, making a morse code for "SOS". They then decide to look inside the building.

There, they found Masaru Danno tied inside a room, while using his feet to turn the light on and off. After being rescued, he tells them that there is a bomb inside the building, before fleeing the building. The Detective boys follow him, but Conan stays inside to find the bomb. Danno then go back inside to take Conan away from the building.

When Conan and Danno is outside, the police already arrived. Chiba says that they received an anonymous call about the light. Later, Danno tells the police that when he went to deliver a package to some nasty-looking guy, a gun fell out of the guy's pocket. He later got struck on the head from behind. After he wake up, he heard the culprits discussing about blowing up the whole building.

The bomb squad later find a possible bomb inside a box in the building. However, it turns out that the box only contains an ordinary alarm clock. Takagi decides to leave the rest of investigation to the forensics team. Not long after that, Chiba recieves a phone call, informing him that there was an armed robbery at Kaneko Jewerly. Conan later finds out what actually happened.

Resolution

Turns out that Masaru Danno is part of the robbery plan. Danno distracted the police with "a bomb inside the bulding" story, while his accomplices robbed Kaneko Jewerly. The proof is there was no bump on the back of his head which should appear as the result of him got struck. Conan, who found that suspicious, had placed a transmitter on Danno's motorcycle.

Arriving at the location where Danno's motorcycle is parked, they find Danno lying unconscious on the floor.

Attemped Murder

Turns out that Danno's accomplices have betrayed him and hit him on his head, before escaping with their van. Fortunately, Danno has suspicious towards his accomplices, so he secretly installed a dash cam on his motorcycle. Conan finds the dash cam, which records the van used by the accomplices, along with the license plate number. Conan then inform Chiba and Takagi about the van.

The police then find the van using surveillance camera across the town. However, an accident happens, and they lost the van. Conan then uses the last known location of the van to predict the road taken by the criminals. Ayumi later spots the van, and they follow it.

The van stops at a parking lot outside a housing complex, where the criminals are trying to steal another car. Conan then confronts the criminals. The police later arrive and arrest the criminals, including Danno.

Aftermath

As a reward for solving the case, Takagi is treating the group a lunch at Danny's restaurant. However, Takagi then regrets his decision, as the group order many foods just before payday.
