Situation

Part 1

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan attend a professional wrestling match where a wrestler challenges the legendary wrestler Wolf Face. Before the match begins, Wolf Face's challenger, Hyota Nagase is found dead in the waiting room.

Murder

A secret video camera reveals that a man wearing Wolf Face's mask murdered Hyota. Four wrestlers who have the same body structure as Wolf Face are gathered and interrogated by the police.

Part 2

After re-watching the murder on the camera, Conan realizes how they will find the murderer.

The culprit is Iwao Ushigome. Conan reveals that the Wolf Face in the camera had difficulty walking since he was not used to wearing the Wolf mask. he has the wrestlers wear Wolf Face's mask and tells them to walk in a straight line. As evidence, Conan reveals that the mask Ushigome was wearing was ripped and blood seeped onto the second mask he was wearing underneath; They find the second mask in Ushigome's jacket with Nagase's blood.

Ushigome confesses and reveals that Nagase was trying to take them down and move to universal pro wrestling, he was the one supposed to unmask Ogami and he's the one who want to steal his mask. Then, Ushigome goes on a rampage, incapacitating Inspector Megure and Takagi.

Attemped Murder
	Location: Tohto Sumo Stadium waiting room Victim: Conan Edogawa, Juzo Megure, Wataru Takagi, Takaharu Ogami, Hiroyuki Sakuma, and Leonardo Rossi Attack type: Fighting Culprit: Iwao Ushigome Iwao was going on a rampage because he was caught as being the murderer, so he was going on a rampage to attempt to kill them before the police took him to jail.

He knocks out the other wrestlers easily, and reveals that he want to pin the crime on Ogami so he can become Wolf face. Conan told him that the mask would not cover his guilt. This only makes Ushigome angrier, and he nearly chokes Conan to death, but he was incapcitated by Ran's 'Shining Wizard'.

Aftermath

The culprit is under arrest and get slapped face by Kiba.

• The suspects and other case characters have names related to wild animals :

• Ogami comes from Okami (Wolf).
• Kiba means Fang (Fang).
• Hyouta contains the kanji for Leopard.
• Ushigome contains the kanji for Cattle.
• Sakuma contains the kanji for Bear.
• Leonardo means strong as a Lion.
• Kayama contains the kanji for Deer.

• The Funk Brothers were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of real-life brothers Terry Funk and Dory Funk, Jr. in the WWE Hall of Fame by Dusty Rhodes in 2009.
• This episode location resembles Nippon Budokan, an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo.
• Although Megure has called Kogoro, "The God Of Death," multiple times before, this case is one of the first, if not, The first time to do it, in cannon.
• Takagi keeps up with wrestling, and knowing about pro-wrestlers, and was shocked that two of them removed their mask, while being questioned by the police, although that had to deal with learning their identities more so, than the mask removal.
• Kogoro could not hold back a sarcastic thought, "What is surprising is your expertise in pro-wrestling," referring to Takagi's expert knowledge.
• This is the case that Kogoro mocks Conan with his own "ah le le," before being quickly tranquilized by Conan.
• This is the first case that dealt with wrestlers, and pro-wrestlers at that.
• While closing the press out of the Deduction show, Takagi also closed Ran out as well.
• This is possibly the second case that Conan was choked by a culprit. The first case was Akaoni Village Fire Festival Murder Case. In that case, he was saved by using his Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes kicking a tire in the face, and in this case, he was saved by Ran's Karate.
• This is the case that Ran's Karate managed to knock out the pro-wrestling culprit, twice her size, who attempted to kill Megure, Takagi, Conan, 2 or 3 wrestlers, and then would probably have attacked her "sleeping Kogoro," and saved them all.
• Ran might possibly leak out Wolf-Face's identity, so she may have a hard time keeping an important secret. She almost told Sonoko, who wolf face is.
