Akiko Motoyoshi (本吉 晃子 Motoyoshi Akiko?) is a Japanese animation director and character designer. She does key animation and animation director works in Detective Conan anime and movies, as well as character design.

Biography

Akiko Motoyoshi started animation in 2012 and became staff in Detective Conan for the first time in June 2015 for The Scarlet Truth, as key animation. In July 2017, starting the 1st part of The Betrayal's Stage, she began to serve as sub-character designer for the series irregularly, assisting Masatomo Sudo and Nobuyuki Iwai.

In the Detective Conan movies, Motoyoshi first started as key animator in Movie 19 Sunflowers of Inferno; released in April 2015. She was also staff in the December 2014 TV Special The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa: The Worst Two Days in History and the December 2016 TV Special Episode One: The Great Detective Turned Small. Even now, she is still active in the series and sporadically has the role of sub-character design.

Furthermore, she is a regular participant in the JANICA animation event[1].
