Junichi Miyashita (宮下 隼一 Miyashita Jun'ichi?), born August 12, 1956, is a Japanese screenplay writer from Tokyo. After graduating from university, Miyashita started a career as assistant director, but later specialized in scriptwriting, starting in the 1970s in police TV dramas, and later shifting to Tokusatsu. He first started scriptwriting for anime series in 1984, and was a writer for Detective Conan as early as the series' inception in 1996. Having written more than fifty scripts for the series, he is one of its more prolific writers, and is known for creating cases focusing on kidnappings and character development, being however less creative with tricks. Since the late 2010s, he has been less involved in the series, but has provided significant contributions, including to the compilation movies released before big screen releases of the annual movies. Conan and Ran stumble upon Masaki Higuchi in the rain.

The Secret of the Search for His Wife (妻探しの秘密 Tsuma Sagashi no Himitsu?) is the 975th episode of the Detective Conan anime. It was originally scheduled for April 25, 2020 as episode 976, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It finally aired on July 4, 2020 as episode 975, replacing episode 1002, which aired instead on April 17, 2021. Written by Asami Ishikawa and storyboarded by Koichiro Kuroda, the story follows Ran and Conan who find a desperate Masaki Higuchi looking for his missing wife and decide to help him, along with the famous sleeping Kogoro. After looking around the neighborhood, things take a turn for the worse, as her corpse is found in the Higuchis' own backyard. However, this is not a case of domestic violence gone wrong, and something is amiss in the neighborhood. Read more...

Hina Wada (和田 陽奈 Wada Hina?) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan. A student at Haido High School, she is a strong karateka and Ran's self-proclaimed rival. She appears first in the UFO Sighting Murder Case as a witness, after she noticed a cigar-shaped black mass in the sky during her karate training camp and then went to Ran's father to have him help her find the supposed "alien". She also appears in the episode ONE TV special, which takes place prior to the current timeline, when Shinichi and Ran witness her tackle down a purse snatcher. Ran and her later compete against each other in the Kanto regional tournaments, where she is beaten by Ran. Read more...

Katsuo Ohno (大野 克夫 Ōno Katsuo?), born 12 September 1939 in Kyoto, is a Japanese composer and musician known for his film scores. He has closely worked with the television animation franchise Detective Conan, having composed all the soundtracks of the animated TV series and soundtracks from movies 1 to 24. In addition, he was also behind the music in all Magic and Bonus Files, three TV specials, two crossover works with Lupin III, as well as the live-action specials. His works were influential in shaping the series' atmosphere to the audience's mind, known for their incorporation of jazz and traditional orchestral music. His earlier works include the theme music for the detective live-action series Taiyō ni Hoero!. He was also a talented keyboardist, being a member of the bands The Spiders from 1961 to 1970 and Pyg from 1971 to 1972. Read more...
