Shogi Player Serial Murder Case (Manga: 1043-1046, Anime: 1033-1035)

While Yumi was tailing her boyfriend, Conan followed her and both met Shukichi, who was talking with Mina and Shoko Uryu. They reveal themselves to be part of a Shogi practice group and, as they come to the shared apartment of the five players (Shukichi, Mina, Uryu, Kosuke Hishinuma, and Yasukiyo Genda), they discover Genda's lifeless body. The suspects are Mina, Uryu, and Hishinuma. After the police comes, a second murder occurs as another member of the practice group, Yusuke Kishimoto, who had taken a leave, is found dead in his house. Mina returns to her house frightened about the death of her two rivals. The serial killer is revealed to be Hishinuma.
