Natsuko Shibuya (澁谷 夏子 Shibuya Natsuko) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Natsuko Shibuya is an english teacher from Haido Elementary School who is attacked on her way home. She is a Japanese girl who went to study abroad to USA and encountered Jodie Starling as she was there. Because Jodie saved her when she was involved in an unknown case, she decided to help her learn Japanese in order for Jodie to go in Japan as a FBI agent. When they returned together, Jodie became an english teacher at Natsuko's advice and then stayed in contact by giving themselves regular phone calls. She also helped Jodie stay an undercover agent.
Appearance
Natsuko is a young Japanese woman who has a normal profile of an average person. She is not tall, has dark grey eyes, a smooth mouth and black long hair. She is skinny and wears a green shirt with purple outlines.
Personality
She is a tender woman who is nice to everybody and that doesn't bother anybody. She is open-minded and likes to chat. Although she is a bit sarcastic by moments, she always stays happy. She works hard and often stays at school at night so children could get their grades quickly.

Relationships analysis
Jodie Starling
Jodie Starling, alias Jodie Saintemillion, is Natsuko's friend that she encountered in America when Natsuko was studiying abroad. She saved her from a case she involved into and Natsuko paid her back by teaching her how to speak Japanese. They then kept contact as both returned in Japan and became english teachers. Unbeknownst to her, she was used by the Black Organization so they could approach her friend.
Bourbon
Bourbon is a Black Organization member who is aquainted with Natsuko for she was his client when she employed him to investigate on her stalker. He accepted her offer because she was a potential person who could help him fill in his last interrogation. He then planned to kill her or get her involved in a certain accident but was preceded by someone else.
Vermouth
Vermouth, or Chris Vineyard, is Bourbon's associate and superior in the organization. She went with him to meet Natsuko but was also a witness of Natsuko's falling.
Yoshiharu Sugamoto
Yoshiharu Sugamoto is Haido Elementary School's physical education teacher who falls in love with Natsuko's beauty. While he doesn't want to tell her in fear of being laughed at, he tries to get near her by stalking her at night and watching her. He didn't consider himself a stalker, just someone in love. It is foreshadow-able that Natsuko didn't reciprocate her feelings towards him.
Akiyo Ueno & Fumiyuki Kandachi
Those two were two of numerous parents who didn't understand Shibuya's correcting method which was proper to occidental countries which made them think Shibuya was correcting them wrong. Kandachi took it so seriously he pushed her down a staircase thinking she added nonexistent mistakes while it was just a misunderstanding.
Other teachers
The other teachers from the school have respect for her and recognize her as being a hardworking and nice teacher. They don't seem to have problems with her.
Plot overview
Teacher Assault Case (Manga: 891-893, Anime: 779-780)
After having invited her friend Jodie to a meeting together, Natsuko finishes her correcting and closes the school since she's the last teacher working that day. On the road home, Shibuya walks through Haido Park and gets pushed by a mysterious figure who runs away. She falls down a staircase and is seen by Tohru Amuro and Vermouth who had planned to do the same thing so they could disguise as Jodie and see if Akai was really dead by watching the FBI members' reactions. They called the police before leaving incognito. It turns out the one who assaulted her was in fact a parent that had misunderstood her and luckily, she survives the fall and is able to continue teaching.
UFO Sighting Murder Case (Manga: 942-944, Anime: 847-848)
Conan remembers the case where Shibuya was assaulted in the same park another murder occurred involving someone who believes in UFOs.
