Intrigue at Morikawa Mansion (Anime: 1050-1051)

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are invited by a chairman, whose body has been consumed by late-stage cancer, to a remote island under Beika jurisdiction, where his mansion is located, asking the detective to help him. Meanwhile, his lawyer is also one of the participants rewriting the will. He secretly monitores every actions made by the three sons, to see who genuinely deserves the legacy. However, he breaks the entrustment contract set by the owner and calls the police beforehand, to allow them to approach the island as soon as possible.

He introduces Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to visit Shimonoseki, for solving a missing case.
