Background
Maria Higashio is a recent transferred student in Teitan Elementary School class 1-B[1], the same as the Detective Boys. She likes dice and speaks with Kansai dialect, since she and her parents come from that region. Her parents are Agasa's friends and work at an office, so they don't have time to stay all day with her. Also, her paternal grandparents' house is just in front of her house. Her grandfather was a carpenter and died of illness before his wife. She once went to Tropical Land with her late grandparents.
Personality
She is a shy and timid little girl that had difficulty to integrate herself in the class. Then, her teacher decided to pretend to be missing, so kids would team together and include her as part of the group.
Appearance
She has two braids held by two peach-shaped headbands and round glasses. Her hair is peach colored.
