Plot overview

The Whistling Bookstore (Anime: 868)

While they were visiting an used book warehouse sale, the Detective Boys stumbled upon him, who was trying to find some books he could sell in his store. Since he had too much stock, they helped him haul it to his place and he gave them orange juice, and let them chose books they could take in free, since he was grateful. The Detective Boys also met his son, a worker at the bookstore, who got into an argument with his father about closing the store or not. The next day, he was found injured under bookshelves in his store and the kids investigated the case to find out the truth. It turns out his son wanted the store to close and used the steam train monument in the park next to the store as a trick to knock down the bookshelves, so the store could close. He didn't imagine his father would be there, since he thought he went to the warehouse sale. Hopefully, they made peace together and opened a bookstore café, where the use bookstore used to be.

The Whistling Bookstore 2 (Anime: 951)

Months after the café opened, business went really well and a lot of customers went in, including one that had an old rare book and showed to him. He was interested in the book and got in a fight with the customer, who was found dead later. He was made the prime suspect, but he was cleared of suspicion after Conan told Megure the truth behind the case as Agasa.
