Masayoshi Sato (佐藤 正義 Satō Masayoshi) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Contents
Background
Masayoshi Sato was the father of Miwako Sato. He was a Senior Superintendent in the Tokyo MPD before he died on duty, trying to stop a criminal, Shuji Kano, who was his baseball teammate in high school before getting hit by a truck that hadn't seen him thus saving his best friend. His death affected his family deeply. He was the high school baseball team's captain. He died 18 years ago prior to the current timeline but the culprit was never found until they did with Conan's help. Even after his death, his baseball team friends went to deposit flowers at the place where he was hit.
Personality
He was a righteous law enforcement member and always respected the law. He was always talented in whatever he did like playing baseball or cracking big cases making him earn quickly the title of Senior superintendent. He was also a good father who liked to care about everyone and for him, any life was worth saving which was why he died 18 years ago, trying to save a bank robber that was only found 18 years after.
