Shinsuke Akiyama
Shinsuke Akiyama (秋山 信介 Akiyama Shinsuke ), formerly Aburakawa (油川), age 26, was a corrupt police officer from Nagano Prefecture. He was arrested for murdering his two fellow squad members and for attempting to kill another, plus inspector Kansuke Yamato. His motive was that the three sold illegal weapons and Kansuke's friend got one of them, and whilst drunk shot his sister dead. His name comes from Akiyama Nobutomo (秋山 信友) and Aburakawa Nobuyoshi (油川 信吉), samurais. He appears in The Darkness of the Prefectural Police.
Soushi Hidaka
Soushi Hidaka (氷高 創志 Hidaka Sōshi ), age 31, was an assistant inspector of the investigations department of the Metropolitan Police Department. He was killed by Tsurumi Shamoto, a repeated shoplifter he was tracking down and had arrested temporarily. He appears in Shintoist Temple Case.

Inabu (伊良部 Inabu ) is a detective from Okinawa Police and a big fan of Kogoro. He appears in A Course Without Protest.
Kuroto Kai
Kuroto Kai (甲斐 玄人 Kai Kurōto ) is a deceased Nagano policeman. He was murdered six years ago, because he was good at shooting with bow and arrow and never missed a shot. His killer, Tatsue Torada, was involved in a gambling business, and feared at if he never missed, no one would want to bet. He appears in Furinkazan.
Shoji Kano
Shoji Kano (鹿野 晶次 Kano Shōji ), formerly Tsuchiya (土屋), age 45, was a police officer from Nagano Prefecture. He was killed by Shinsuke Akiyama, a fellow colleague who resented him and the other members of the squad for selling smuggled weapons, which indirectly caused Akiyama's sister's death. His name comes from Tsuchiya Masatsugu (土屋 昌次) and Hajikano Tadatsugu (初鹿野 忠次), samurais. He appears in The Darkness of the Prefectural Police.
Detective Kubota
Kubota (久保多 Kubota ) is a detective from Shizuoka Prefectural Police. He appears in A Small Client, but his name is only shown in the anime version.
Kusukawa
Kusukawa (楠川 Kusukawa ) is a former police detective working under Ginshiro Toyama at the Osaka Prefectural Police, but got discharged due to his gambling addiction. He later became a private detective working for the Haido Detective Agency. He appears in Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation!.

Touko Momosaki (百崎 橙子 Momosaki Tōko ), age 28, was a Traffic Department Executive Division Sergeant with a 3rd-degree black belt in judo. She was killed by Kengo Aono, a traffic recidivist who also killed her collegue Shiori Yagi. She appears in The Target is the Metropolitan Police Traffic Department.

Rokuro Momota (百田 陸朗 Momota Rokurō ) was the Superintendent General of the Japanese police seven years ago, before Hakuba replaced him, now retired. He appears in Wild Police Story.

Morimura (森村 Morimura ) was a superintendent of Tokyo Metropolitan Police who died during a hit-and-run incident. He appears in The Scar that Evokes the Past.
Kazushi Nakamichi
Kazushi Nakamichi (中道 和志 Nakamichi Kazushi ), age 38, was a police officer from Chiba. He was a Kogoro's classmate and the judo club's former leader. He murdered his ex-girlfriend Yumi Horikoshi for blackmailing him, and is currently in Tochigi Prefecture prison serving his sentence. He appears in Kogoro's Class Reunion Murder Case.

Oda (小田 Oda ) is a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He appears in Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story 5.
Hachizo Onizuka
Hachizo Onizuka (鬼塚 八蔵 Onidzuka Hachizō ), age 55, is a rookie class police instructor at the Metropolitan Police Academy. He had instructed Kogoro, Furuya, Date, Matsuda, Hagiwara, and Hiromitsu. He appears in Wild Police Story.
Radish Redwood
Radish Redwood (ラディッシュ・レッドウッド Radisshu Reddouddo ) is a police inspector from New York City who was in charge of a murder case at a Broadway play that Yukiko solved with Shinichi's help one year ago. He can speak Japanese because his wife is from Japan. Since Yusaku helped him in a case, they are friends. Sharon disguised as him to help Yukiko escape a traffic ticket. He appears in the Shinichi Kudo's New York Case.
Yoshio Sadakane
Yoshio Sadakane (定金 芳雄 Sadakane Yoshio ), age 43, was Haido Department Store's security guard. He is arrested by Megure for murder and multiple accounts of assault. He appears in Megure's Sealed Secret.
Mamoru Saegusa
Mamoru Saegusa (三枝 守 Saegusa Mamoru ), age 37, was a rogue police inspector and squad leader from Nagano Prefecture. His name comes from Saegusa Moritomo (三枝 守友) and Saegusa Morinao (三枝 守直), samurais. He has been arrested for illegal arms trafficking. He appears in The Darkness of the Prefectural Police.
Yusuke Sakata
Yusuke Sakata (坂田 祐介 Sakata Yūsuke ), age 26, was a corrupt police detective from Osaka, Investigation Unit 1 at Tojiri Station. His real name is revealed to be Yusuke Inaba and killed four people as an act of revenge for his father. He is now currently in prison serving his sentence. He appears in The Naniwa Serial Murder Case.

Inspector Sato
Sato (佐藤 Satō ) is a Tokyo Metropolitan Police inspector who appeared briefly as a gag. He is a burly middle aged man, a smoker, with a beard, buzz cut and widow's peak. Takagi volunteered to go on a stakeout with Sato, expecting to be working with a different Sato. Upon discovering the mistake, Takagi and Sato remarked that Sato is a common family name. He appears in The Truth Behind the Urban Legend.

Ayami Ogino
Ayami Ogino (荻野 彩実 Ogino Ayami ), age 30, is a beautiful police inspector from Saitama. When Sango Yokomizo worked in Saitama, she was his junior in terms of seniority and later replaced him. The victim who was killed in Tokyo, Masaaki Okakura, was from Tokorozawa, Saitama, that's why she was called along with many others to a police conference for the serial murder case. She is always on site during ongoing investigations and takes part in all conferences, and the only one who takes notes on a PC. She has heard much about Kogoro, who thinks she is extremely pretty, but she is soon disappointed by his absurd deduction and is more amazed by Conan's achievements. She is also a big fan of Shinichi, but hadn't heard anything about him until recently. She is knocked out by Irish, disguised as Matsumoto. She appears in The Raven Chaser.

Nobukatsu Tomonari (友成 伸克 Tomonari Nobukatsu ) is the Chief Inspector from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He was dead on duty due an heart attack last summer, at age 49, due the hot temperature. He was married and had an only son, Makoto, who hated the police for their guilty in his death. He was injured by his childhood friend Genichiro Iwata, who resented him for forcing him to try to do some paper work instead of being a security guard. He is married and has a son, Torahiko. Shouhei Hino
Shouhei Hino (日野 昌平 Hino Shōhei ), age 41, is a police detective from Nishitama Central Police. Unlike most of the Japanese policemen who are his most avid admirers, he is one of the few who got right about Sleeping Kogoro, that someone's probably solving the cases for this stupid while he's sleeping, but neither Ran nor the sheer dullness officers at his jurisdiction station, especially the rookie Hitoshi Shinkai, want to believe him. For this reason, at their first meeting on the bonnet bus in Kagekuwa Village, he doesn't want his usual help in their investigation, asking him to do what he wants without getting in their way. Conan is really happy for his right observation, being clearly a compliment to the true famous detective, while Kogoro is really furious and judges him a rude bastard. Conan pretends to support Kogoro who doesn't need the detective's help to solve that case, and of course the latter swears that Hino must just watch and he'll show him. However, even if he doesn't want to help him, Kogoro can't leave someone dangerous out there and participate by himself the following day, so they've ended up in the same place, but Conan solved the murder case alone and was hurt by Kogoro before him for having make them worry so much. He also notes with surprise Conan's intuition. He appears in The Tenth Passenger.

Genichiro Iwata (岩田 源一郎 Iwata Gen'ichirō ), age 63, was Tiger Trading's security guard in Kokura, Fukuoka, and a childhood friend with the president, Torazo Fukamachi. He attempted to kill his boss, who didn't want to employ him anymore unless he learns how to do management work. He also planned to frame Torazo's driver for the attempted murder after Makoto Ukaji blackmailed him. He set a bomb in the driver's car to kill both the driver and the director. He was later arrested by the Fukuoka police for attempt murder, terrorism, and illegal bombs making. He appears in The Northern Kyushu Mystery Tour.

Kenzo Katsuragi (葛城 健三 Katsuragi Kenzō ), age 45, is the chief inspector in Police HQ First Division S.I.T. (Special Investigation Team) for handling hostage situations such as kidnappings or hijackings. He notes with surprise that Conan knows a lot about the S.I.T., but doesn't want a kid on the crime scene and not even Kogoro's help for no reason, even if he must give up since it is requested by the kidnapped victim's wife. Inspector Tamana
Tamana (玉名 Tamana ) is an inspector from Kumamoto Prefectural Police. He is a big fan of Kogoro, but Ran's kidnapping is certainly an issue to handle delicately. He even got a call from Megure earlier, who requests that Kogoro leaves the investigation to them. He understands Kogoro's feelings, but he doesn't think Ran's father can make any rational judgments in his current state of mind, especially since his daughter's life is at stake here. Since Kogoro understands, he accepts his cooperation, but following all of their instructions and refraining from taking any careless action. He also trusts Conan's deduction to close that case. Inspector Teraoka
Teraoka (寺岡 Teraoka ) is the chief police inspector of Tokyo Department 4. He commits the murder of Matsuyama, a gang leader who threatened to reveal how he was taking bribes to reveal information about police operations unless he give him money to allow him to escape from another gambler murder he committed and flee the country. He is married with Misako and tries to use Kogoro, his former subordinate, as an alibi. He was found out by Sleeping Kogoro and arrested by Megure. He appears in the The Third Fingerprint Murder Case.

Yamada (山田 Yamada ) is a Nagano Prefecture police officer who works under Yamato, Uehara, and Morofushi. At their first meeting along with Ran, Conan uses Sonoko to solve the murder case at the mountain star observation point, but he notes with surprise his intuition during a part of the resolution. Just like everyone at the station, he is a great admirer of Morofushi and then supports him in the battle against Kaitou Kid.
