Chipmunk (多湿 Tashitsu) is a character in the anime and later manga franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Chipmunk is a young and small striped rodent from the family Sciuridae. He is a siberian chipmunk, that is mainly found in asia. He is the best friend of Fumimaro Ayanokoji who always carries him on his left shoulder.
Personality
He is a fearful little animal that always stays on Ayanokoji's shoulder and doesn't like other strangers to touch him except children like the Detective Boys.

Manga vs. Anime
In the manga, files 33-35 are the first and only time when Kogoro goes in train to Kyoto for a friend wedding. Ran came along to see Kyoto for the first time, and brought Conan rather than leave him alone in Tokyo. The Kyoto police came at the end of the case, but the corresponding anime episode replaced them with Inspector Megure and the police.
