He murdered three people, his first cousin Furuto, paternal uncle Genzaburo, and paternal aunt Ayane, in a murder case relating to a Stradivarius. Conan, after some investigation, used Kogoro to expose him as the culprit. He attempted to commit suicide by jumping out a window, but his plan was foiled by Conan, who had predicted what he would try to do. When he was being taken away by the police, Conan asked him if he knew any songs that began with "B A G A". He told him about the song "Nanatsu no Ko", information that would lead Conan to discovering the boss' phone number.
