Maria Higashio (東尾 マリア Higashio Maria ) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Maria Higashio is a recent transferred student in the same class as the Detective Boys in Teitan Primary School Class 1-B. She likes dice and speaks with Kansai dialect, which means she and her parents must come from that region. Her parents work at an office and don't have time to stay all day with her. Also, her paternal grandparents' house is just in front of her house. She once went to Tropical Land with her late grandparents.
Personality
She is a shy and timid little girl that had difficulty to integrate herself in the class. Then, her teacher decided to pretend to be missing, so kids would team together and include her as part of the group.

She has two braids held by two peach-shaped headbands and round glasses. Her hair is peach colored.
