Katsuo Ohno (大野 克夫 ,Ōno Katsuo?), born 12 September 1939 in Kyoto, is a Japanese composer and musician known for his film scores. He has closely worked with the television animation franchise Detective Conan, having composed all the soundtracks of the animated TV series and soundtracks from movies 1 to 24. In addition, he was also behind the music in all Magic and Bonus Files, three TV specials, two crossover works with Lupin III, as well as the live-action specials. His works were influential in shaping the series' atmosphere to the audience's mind, known for their incorporation of jazz and traditional orchestral music. His earlier works include the theme music for the detective live-action series Taiyō ni Hoero!. He was also a talented keyboardist, being a member of the bands The Spiders from 1961 to 1970 and Pyg from 1971 to 1972. Read more...

Beautiful Fins (美しい鰭 ,Utsukushii Hire?) is a song by rock band Spitz that was released on April 10, 2023 as digital single and on April 12, 2023 as CD single. The song is featured as the ending theme for the 26th movie, Black Iron Submarine. With Masamune Kusano as voice and guitar, Tetsuya Miwa as second guitar, Akihiro Tamura as bass and Tatsuo Sakiyama as drums, it was written and composed by Kusano and arranged by the band and Seiji Kameda as their 46th single. The digital single peaked at 3rd position on the weekly Oricon Chart, while the regular version peaked at 4th.
